Children up to age 18 who may be victims of abuse, neglect or sexual assault. Referred by either police or Department of Human Services.

Hawaii (Big Island)
(Childrens Advocacy Center of West Hawaii) Provides a safe, neutral place for child abuse investigations by trained interviewers who are specialists in child abuse and neglect. In order to minimize the number of interviews, proceedings can be videotaped and/or audiotaped. Provides training for professionals in interviewing children in order to provide a neutral, professional investigation. Coordinates civil and criminal court actions. Coordinates the activities of all agencies involved with the child.
