Eligibility

Registered HUGS families with a child (6 months old - 12 years old) with a life-threatening or medically complex condition may be eligible. A complete physican verification form is required for eligiblity. Application and intake assessment also required.

Referral accepted from hospital social worker, child life specialist, or self-referral. Doctor's forms must be completed by physicians and enrollment into HUGS completed. Forms available online. Call for more information.

(Help Understanding and Group Support Respite Program) HUGS schedules respite services for enrolled HUGS member families who meet medical eligibility requirements. Volunteers are needed.
