Eligibility

Victims of domestic violence located on the islands of Maui and Lanai. For shelter an Individual, aged 18 and above, must be in imminent danger due to domestic or family violence. For all other services and individual must be experiencing domestic violence or have recently left an abusive relationship and is in need of support.

Application process

For shelter services, intake needs to be done over the phone. For TRO services out of our Wailuku office, walk-ins or phone contacts are fine. For all other services and locations please call.

Description

Provides safety and shelter to women and their children in danger, due to domestic violence. Assists clients in obtaining medical, financial and legal services as needed. Provides transportation to access resources. Offers individual and group advocacy. Refers callers elsewhere who are in need of detoxification, intensive medical or psychological care. Provides transitional housing and support services. Temporary restraining order (TRO) preparation.
