6-17 years old with proof of your age, or 18-19 years old with proof of high school enrollment or a valid high school ID.

Application process

Walk-in, by Phone, go to the website for retail locations or make an appointment on AlohaQ for Satellite City Hall locations.

Fees

New or replacement cards cost $2. The amount you can add to your card varies by location. At participating stores (excluding ABC Stores) you can load $3 or more.

Description

City and County of Honolulu youth can use the Youth HOLO card to pay for rides on TheBus, and in the future the HandiVan, and the rail system on June 30, 2023. Go to the website for frequently asked questions (FAQ), register your card so you can protect it from loss or theft and transfer fees, sign up for the auto-reload program, check your balance for up to six family members and manage their cards and balances. Fares are capped and your money goes toward a pass. Once you spend the amount of a pass, you ride the rest of the day or month for free. Youth fares are $3.75. Transfers are free within 2.5 hours of riding the vehicle.
