Families who live in the Kalihi to Downtown Honolulu area who have children prenatal through 5 years AND are screened eligible for services.

Application process

Clients can self refer to Early Identification Program (EID) or will be screened at the hospital within the first 14 days of baby's birth. EID will then refer any eligible clients to the perspective programs, Hana Like being the one that serves the Kalihi

Description

The Hana Like Home Visitor Program works with families to provide supportive coaching to teach strategies that enhance the parent or caregiver’s skills to provide a safe, healthy, nurturing environment for children ages birth to 3 years old. Home visitors also work with prenatal mothers to support a wide range of maternal-child health. Families are referred by the Early Identification (EID) unit of Catholic Charities Hawaii and can be self-referred.
