Patient must be ambulatory and have financial need. Passengers must be medically stable (be able to walk, and to board and exit the aircraft, with little or no assistance), and be able to sit up in an airplane seat for the duration of the flight. One-Week Advance Notice. In some cases, we can accommodate shorter lead-times (for example, transplant situations). Need doctor's statement that patient is medically stable to fly. Financial need must be verified by a social worker or referring physician of an organization.

Angel Flight West is a nonprofit, volunteer-driven organization that arranges free, non-emergency air travel for children and adults with serious medical conditions and other compelling needs. Our network of 1,500+ pilots, as well as commercial airline partners, throughout the 13 western states donate their aircraft, piloting skills, and all flying costs to help families in need, enabling them to receive vital treatment that might otherwise be inaccessible because of financial, medical, or geographic limitations. Ambulatory patients needing medical transportation to the 13 Western States; Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming. This includes inter-island transportation as well.
