(Mothers Milk) Hawaii Mothers' Milk, Inc. (HMMI) is a comprehensive breastfeeding resource center, for both families and health professionals in the State of Hawaii. HMMI provides services to new mothers statewide through our telephone warmline, individualized breastfeeding counseling, rentals and sales of hospital grade and/or home purchase breast pumps and supplies. Seeking volunteers to assist with clerical and other nonpatient duties. Donations accepted. This program offers lactation counseling and breastfeeding support, breast pump rentals, and breast pump sales.

(DV Services for Families, DVSF) The Survivor and Children Support Services, (SCSS), focuses on supporting personal healing with families involved in both child welfare and domestic violence. SCSS provides an array of services to help families understand the difference between unhealthy and healthy family dynamics, strengthen parenting skills to include, learning how to better empathize with children's emotions, and become empowered by the use of community referrals. The SCSS Program's goal is to ensure and promote survivor safety and independence, and to strengthen child resilience.

(TANF, TAONF) The federal Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) Program provides temporary cash assistance to eligible families. The monthly cash assistance given to families may be used to pay for food, clothing, housing and utility expenses, and other daily needs. Eligible families include at least one specified relative adult and a minor dependent child who resides in the same home. In addition, family members must be US citizens. The State of Hawaii Temporary Assistance for Other Needy Families (TAONF) Program provides the same benefits and services to Hawaii’s vulnerable families with children as the TANF program. The TAONF program eligibility includes mixed citizens and non-citizens, and single- and two-parent households. (ELR) Early Learning Readiness (ELR) for Family, Friend and Neighbor Caregivers is a research-based community program that gives young children (not in facility-based childcare), high-quality physical, emotional and cognitive experiences. It also equips their teacher, ensuring they start kindergarten ready to learn. The program provides a stimulating, preschool-like experience through learning centers that foster young child development and improve school readiness, while also supporting and developing the skills and knowledge of caregivers. Early Learning Readiness - services are provided at the Aliamanu Military Reservations for the Pearl Harbor and Wheeler Schoefield locations.

Camp Imua has been a place where children ages 6 years old - 16 years old with a range of special needs or disabilities can enjoy a week of recreational experiences allowing them to be themselves in a supportive and inclusive environment free from judgment. Campers participate and enjoy a range of activities like horseback riding, swimming, surfing, kayaking, hiking, arts and crafts, music, dance, tumbling, and ice cream social, a glow party, concerts, a talent show, outdoor movies, helicopter tours, zip-lining, climbing and much more!

Easterseals Hawaii provides individualized early intervention services to children under 3 with or at risk for developmental delays and their families. Services include: Development of an Individualized Family Support Plan (IFSP); Parent coaching and family support; Developmental evaluations; Resources, information, and referral services; Assistance to families in transition planning for their child’s transition into the Department of Education special education, Head Start or preschool. Treatment Focus Areas: Cognitive; Language and Communication; Physical; Development; Social and Emotional; Adaptive/Self Care. Program focuses on building a support team for the family and assisting them in meeting challenges via parent coaching and building a foundation of tools and strategies that parents need to support their child’s growth and participation in their community.
