(Ka Pa'alana, Ka Paalana Traveling Preschool and Homeless Family Education Program, Partners in Development Ka Paalana, Partners in Development K Paalana Traveling Preschool, PIDF Ka Paalana Traveling Preschool) The Ka Pa‘alana Traveling Preschool and Homeless Family Education Program serves houseless families on the Leeward coast of O‘ahu as well as Kaka‘ako, and Hilo on Hawai‘i Island. Through collaborative partnerships with Leeward coast outreach agencies, Ka Pa‘alana assists families by delivering or providing access to essential services, such as a parent-child participatory preschool, basic needs items and more. Ka Pa‘alana also serves as an initial contact agency for families who are ready to transition to local shelters or temporary housing facilities. There are three components to the Ka Pa‘alana Traveling Preschool and Homeless Family Education Program: Malama Mobile, Traveling Preschool, and Family Education services.

(Hawaii Relief Program) Vibrant Hawaii is helping people to complete the Hawaii Relief Program applications. Eligible applicants may receive up to four months of financial assistance, including: -Up to 4 months of rent or mortgage (up to $6,000 per month) -One time security deposit (actual housing deposit amount up to the maximum of $6,000) -Up to 4 months of utility assistance ($2,000 per month per utility source) -One time Utility deposit (up to $3,000 per utility source). Utility payments may include electricity, gas, or water expense, or a combination of these utility sources. Water expense may include sewer service fees. Payments are made directly to landlords, mortgage lenders, or utility providers. Serves as an informational resource for all EPA programs. Provides EPA materials to general public, Federal, Hawaii State and county government agencies, elected officials and environmental organizations. Conducts environmental outreach activities through Hawaii schools, community groups and environmental events. Developed teacher information packets of environmental lesson materials. Conducts speaking engagements at schools for all grade levels and the general public. Works to facilitate communication flow between Hawaii media and EPA personnel by assisting reporters in obtaining background information on news release subjects or directing the media to the proper Regional sources.

(Na Pono No Na 'Ohana) Na Pono No Na 'Ohana provides a comprehensive family education program at Blanche Pope Elementary School including Early Childhood Education, Parent Education, Parent and Children Together Time (PACT), and Adult Education.

(Immigration Office - County of Hawaii) Provides immigration information and assistance on immigration related issues and concerns to the constituents of Hawai‘i County, (including citizenship, permanent residency and family based petition), disseminates immigration forms, acts as a resource office, and serves as a liaison to the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS formerly INS).

Visitor Aloha Society of Hawaii (VASH) provides supportive services to meet the immediate and urgent needs of visitors to Hawaii Island who are victimized by crime, have medical emergencies, or suffer other adversities during their stay. Immediate needs may include assistance with canceling credit cards, providing emergency transportation, or garnering resources (soliciting donations) for food and lodging. (Kau Family Health and Dental Center) Provides general family medical care including treatment for illnesses and minor injuries and behavioral health services. Offers physical exams, family planning services including birth control information. Routine dental care, call for details.

(Aloha Diaper Pantry) The Aloha Diaper Bank supports newborns up to 3 years old who are facing poverty or family crises due to job loss or personal circumstances. Working in collaboration with various local agencies that serve low-income, homeless, and families in crisis, we provide essential diapers and wipes. Families are encouraged to register with one of the partner agencies to receive ongoing support and access other valuable services during challenging times. Additionally, the Aloha Diaper Bank offers a one-time emergency assistance package, including 75 diapers and 2 packs of baby wipes, to address immediate needs. The Aloha Diaper Bank Maui Pantry and the Aloha Diaper Bank Kauai Pantry works with partner agencies to distribute diapers to families in need. Parents And Children Together provides support through home visits and works in partnership with families. Our parenting curriculum promotes safe and nurturing parenting and access to resources about healthy child development. Our program serves families with children ages birth through 5 years old and families who have struggled to keep their children from harm or need additional parenting support. (Opala, Plastic Bag Ban) Develops and administers City and County recycling programs. Provides island residents and businesses with information regarding current recycling programs and programs in development for the island of Oahu, including drop-off recycling centers, recycling for condos and businesses, backyard composting, workshops. Call about the Plastic Bag Ban that became effective on 7/1/15. Accepts green waste and Christmas trees at City facilities or directly at the composting sites.

Provides bicycling advocacy in such areas as commuting, education, mountain biking, recreation, sport, touring, tourism, trail maintenance, transportation, etc. Organizes weekend rides, bicycling events and races, bi-monthly newsletter, membership meetings, etc. Conducts Bike Ed Hawaii, an on-bike on-road bicycling education program for 4th grade children in Oahu's public school system. Also teaches a walk smart program at the First grade level and a Sixth Grade review course.

Administers full-service general hospital, skilled nursing facility and outpatient medical care. Offers outpatient care in a variety of specialties including pediatrics, obstetrics, gynecology and industrial medicine. Specialty Clinic services (General Medicine and Family Practice services are not routinely available at the Medical Center).

(Food Pantry) Provides prepacked, large grocery bags with assorted canned and packaged food which is distributed to people in need. Food distribution will take place at our main sanctuary doors on Beretania Street. Paid parking is available in our lot off of Victoria Street or on-street parking.

(TRY, TRY Center, Community Teen Program - Puuwai Momi) Parents And Children Together's Community's Tenacious Rooted Youth (TRY) Centers in Kuhio Park Terrace and Puuwai Momi public housing provides comprehensive development programs for youths who live in and around the housing complexes. After school programs promote the development of youth, families, and communities by providing educational activities and experiences including STEM projects, sports and recreation, community service, skill building, and support services. Programs support the growth and development of our youth by teaching leadership and life skills and encouraging positive experiences as alternatives to drugs and gangs. TRY Center activities are free and open to family residents of public housing complexes in the respective areas. Opens at 1:30pm on Wednesdays during the school year. Extended hours offered during summer and school intersessions. Intake form is good for 1 year.

(SASS, Empowering Alternatives Program, EAP, Sexual Assault Response and Advocacy Services, SARAH) Operates a 24-hour crisis hotline for persons affected by a sex assault, including women, men, girls and boys. Offers information, referral and direct support to any person victimized. Support is also provided during police, medical examinations and legal matters surrounding the crime, advocacy, counseling, and therapy.

Hawaiian Council is offering up to $5,000 in financial assistance to help individuals and families replace vehicles lost due to the recent floods and storms. This program is designed to restore mobility and support impacted households in returning to work, school, and daily life. Award amounts will be based on demonstrated need and the verified funding gap, up to a maximum of $5,000. Funds will help with purchasing a replacement vehicle, reimbursement of a vehicle that was already purchased, or help with an existing auto loan balance. Financing options may also be available through Hawaiian Council’s Loan Fund, https://www.hawaiiancouncil.org/programs/cnha-loan-fund/.

Provides transportation assistance for patients with cancer. Road to Recovery program - volunteers drive patients to doctor appointments and medical treatments. Bus Passes and Handi-Van Coupons - availability is limited to those in active treatment. Taxicab - limited trips for those that are unable to access volunteers, bus or handi-van. Air Fare interisland and mainland - for patients not covered by other insurance coverage. Reduced rate lodging - at hotels in Hawaii for patients who must travel for treatment. Hope lodge - free overnight housing for patients traveling to the mainland for treatment.
