(PAT) Increase Your Keiki’s Opportunity for School Success! Program for families of prenatal moms, infants and toddlers called “Parents As Teachers,” or PAT - a home-based program for families that begins before your keiki is born until a keiki turns three. Through home visits, we support parents with practical, research-based strategies and activities to support the importance of enhancing school readiness during these critical and formative years of a keiki’s life. These strategies enhance parent child interactions, strengthen ohana relationships and support parents in being their keiki’s first and most influential teacher. Literacy is a major focus of PAT, books are used in every visit. The “Parents as Teachers” Foundational Curriculum is provided through supportive certified PAT parent educator’s home visits and screenings in assisting parents in understanding the latest neuroscience research and how it relates to their keiki. The participants of WIC are either pregnant, breastfeeding, or postpartum women, and infants and children under age five who meet income guidelines and have a medical or nutritional risk. Nutrition and Health Education: WIC will answer your questions about what to eat for a healthy pregnancy and help you plan family meals and snacks. Education and support for moms who breastfeed: WIC has specially trained staff to answer your breastfeeding questions. Ask for more information about our breast pump loan program. Hawaii Island Community Health Center (HICHC) provides integrated medical, dental, and behavioral health care for the whole ohana. Services include, but are not limited to: primary care, preventative care, women's health, pediatric care, dental, same day visits, mental health care, confidential teen visits, substance use treatment, WIC services, community outreach, and school based health care. We can assist with insurance enrollment.

Transitional shelter provides Housing First Case Management and focuses on connecting clients to mainstream resources, increasing income, life and tenancy skills, and reaching the ultimate goal of Permanent Housing.

(Homebase) Fernhurst is a women's residence with a Transitional Housing Program for women. Program entry requires application and interview for eligibility. If accepted, participants must: complete 2 hours of community service per week, check in weekly with the program coordinator, and participate in 2 learning circles and 1 Professional Women's Group. The program serves women on parole and economically disadvantaged women; providing information on the subjects of housing, jobs and personal finance,education and promoting self-sufficiency.

(IOP) The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is an intensive psychotherapeutic program designed to treat substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health disorders. Services include group therapy, individual counseling, and toxicology testing. Sessions are often done as a group. Clients go home each night, rather than living at a treatment center. Clients attend IOP groups 3-5 days per week, for a total of 9-15 hours per week.

(HCAP STEM) The Ha Initiative: Creative STEM After-School Program is a free Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) after-school program for youth in grades 2-8. The program provides year-round tutoring, mentorship, and fun STEM activities in a safe after-school setting at five STEM Exploration Center locations on Oʻahu.
