(Youth Employment and Success Hawaii) YES Hawaii serves youth ages 14-26. The program provides peer support and outreach services. The Program is youth driven and designed to engage foster youth in peer mentoring and meaningful and supportive events and activities. Services include outreach and support, peer mentoring, events and activities, leadership and skill-building, and social media and other electronic communication training.

(HCHP, CBCM-RS, Community Based Case Management- Recovery Services, Ohana Project Services, Shelter Plus Care) Health Care for the Homeless Project (HCHP) is offered at our Kaaahi street clinic and Kohou street clinic. The Kaaahi street clinic is at the Institute for Human Services (IHS) Homeless Shelter for Women and Families. Primary Care health services are provided to single women and families who are guests of the IHS Homeless Shelter, single men, and community members: Including adult medicine, chronic disease management, immunizations and flu shots, infant and well-child check ups, physical examinations, psychiatric counseling and medication management for adults, and women’s health.

Provides education and information about substance abuse, evaluation of substance abuse problems and referral to appropriate help. Operates a lawyer Alcoholics Anonymous support group with lawyer sponsors. Provides intervention services for attorneys or judges who are impaired either by substance abuse or have other problems such as mental illness. Confidential service with no records going to authorities of any kind, even within the legal community.

Operates a comprehensive treatment program for chemically dependent adult men and women. Includes individual, group, family counseling, and psycho-educational skill building seminars. Family participation is strongly encouraged.

Provides a comprehensive recreational program in the community. Facilities include a multi-purpose building, a gymnasium, a swimming pool. There are three program periods throughout the year: Fall, spring, and summer. Activities are for all ages, including classes in arts and crafts, games and sports, music and dance, seasonal activities and crafts, excursions and swimming. A list of activities, registration dates, and program period information is published in the Midweek prior to registration.

(Malama Aina Foundation) This program provides students and their facilitators from Native Hawaiian communities with hands-on learning activities combined with the experience of Hawaiian cultural values and practices, to achieve academic success in math and science. Activities include: 1. In-school science and math support for middle school students and teachers through curriculum training and supplement, tutoring, teaching, and mentoring; 2. After school hands-on STEM and Hawaiian cultural experiences, increasing student knowledge of STEM content as aligned to the common core math and next generation science standards; and 3. During intersession and summer breaks, expose students to STEM by integrating math and science with Hawaiian cultural practices.

Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) Hawaii provides: Free and confidential support services to injured victims and to families and close friends of those who have been killed, Range of free brochures, books on grief, and other literature, Court accompaniment and criminal justice system navigation, An annual candlelight vigil of hope and remembrance held during the holiday season, The possibility of serving on a “Victim Impact Panel” where victims share their stories with people who have been arrested for DUI. MADD Hawaii works closely with the Victim Witness Assistance Division of the Prosecutor's office, with youth programs and young teens in the prevention of underage drinking. (Women Infants and Children Nutrition Program) The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC), is a federally funded program which provides Hawaii residents with nourishing supplemental foods, nutrition education, breastfeeding promotion and health and social service referrals. The participants of WIC are either pregnant, breastfeeding, or postpartum women, and infants and children under age five who meet income guidelines and have a medical or nutritional risk. Nutrition and Health Education: WIC will answer your questions about what to eat for a healthy pregnancy and help you plan family meals and snacks. Education and support for moms who breastfeed: WIC has specially trained staff to answer your breastfeeding questions. Ask for more information about our breast pump loan program. (TANF, TAONF) The federal Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) Program provides temporary cash assistance to eligible families. The monthly cash assistance given to families may be used to pay for food, clothing, housing and utility expenses, and other daily needs. Eligible families include at least one specified relative adult and a minor dependent child who resides in the same home. In addition, family members must be US citizens. The State of Hawaii Temporary Assistance for Other Needy Families (TAONF) Program provides the same benefits and services to Hawaii’s vulnerable families with children as the TANF program. The TAONF program eligibility includes mixed citizens and non-citizens, and single- and two-parent households. Visitor Aloha Society of Hawaii (VASH) provides supportive services to meet the immediate and urgent needs of visitors to Hawaii Island who are victimized by crime, have medical emergencies, or suffer other adversities during their stay. Immediate needs may include assistance with canceling credit cards, providing emergency transportation, or garnering resources (soliciting donations) for food and lodging. VASH relies heavily on donations and community support. When needed resources are not readily available, we will make requests and network with other agencies to try and meet needs. (North Shore Food Bank) North Shore Food Bank provides a walk up or drive through food distribution at Kaiaka Bay beach park. Additional community services include help with community health servies, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) application help, and other information for person who may be houseless. Project Vision is providing shelter for those affected by the Maui wildfires in August 2023 that do not have shelter. The site will be able to house around 150 people who will be provided a military grade tent for shelter. There is access to showers, medical care and restrooms as well as other services. The shelter will also provide transportation to and from the site. Case managers from the state will also be on hand to work with those shelter residents to develop a recovery plan. Location is off Hana Highway in Pu'unene.

(Aloha Diaper Pantry) The Aloha Diaper Bank supports newborns up to 3 years old who are facing poverty or family crises due to job loss or personal circumstances. Working in collaboration with various local agencies that serve low-income, homeless, and families in crisis, we provide essential diapers and wipes. Families are encouraged to register with one of the partner agencies to receive ongoing support and access other valuable services during challenging times. Additionally, the Aloha Diaper Bank offers a one-time emergency assistance package, including 75 diapers and 2 packs of baby wipes, to address immediate needs. The Aloha Diaper Bank Maui Pantry and the Aloha Diaper Bank Kauai Pantry works with partner agencies to distribute diapers to families in need.
