(FTH) Provides food distribution to community and a safe hangout for local kids. Food distribution in central Oahu, both through a drive through food distribution and a walk up pantry. Walk up on Thursday, Friday, Saturday. Public restroom and showers available during the Thursday, Friday, and Saturday food pantry times.

Provides visitor services at Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve. Also provides free marine education programs for groups visiting the Bay. Offers free event (alternating film and lecture series focused on marine issues of interest to the community) every Thursday evening at Hanauma Bay.

Provides after school program for Kindergarten through sixth grade public elementary school students who are without adult supervision after school. Program includes homework, recreation supervision, special classes and activities.

(Domestic Violence Advocacy) Families who are enrolled in Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) or Temporary Assistance to Other Needy Families (more commonly known as “welfare”), are required to be engaged in activities that will ultimately lead them to self-sufficiency. Program recipients for whom issues of safety and domestic violence are interfering with their progress can call upon Domestic Violence Advocacy to help them find support to change their situations. Services include: assessment, service planning, counseling services, case management and linkage and referral. Provides client advocacy for women referred by Department of Human Services (DHS) in need of case management and support to leave domestic violent relationships. Six month time period given to provide victims the opportunity to gain focus and perspective of their personal goals and career choice.

Pre-treatment, residential, day treatment, intensive outpatient and outpatient substance abuse treatment as well as continuing care services for adults. Also provides a Family Education Program, topics include ways to intervene, recognizing the destructive nature of enabling, and learning about what options are available for family and friends of persons addicted to alcohol and/or drugs.Psychiatric Services, Case Management, Peer Mentoring, Offender Re-Entry.

Provides food pantry, clothing, hygiene supplies, medications and clothing to those in need. Serve meals before the food pantry. Every Sunday, church shows a movie, they provide a snack as well during the movie.

(Commodity Supplemental Food Program, CSFP, Hawaii Food Basket Kupuna Pantry) Kupuna Pantry works to improve the health of low-income elderly persons at least 60 years of age by supplementing their diets with nutritious USDA foods. Food packages include a variety of foods, such as nonfat dry and ultra high-temperature fluid milk, juice, farina cream of wheat, oats, bran cereal, rice, pasta, peanut butter, dry beans, canned protein meat, poultry, or fish, and canned fruits and vegetables.

(TANF, TAONF) The federal Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) Program provides temporary cash assistance to eligible families. The monthly cash assistance given to families may be used to pay for food, clothing, housing and utility expenses, and other daily needs. Eligible families include at least one specified relative adult and a minor dependent child who resides in the same home. In addition, family members must be US citizens. The State of Hawaii Temporary Assistance for Other Needy Families (TAONF) Program provides the same benefits and services to Hawaii’s vulnerable families with children as the TANF program. The TAONF program eligibility includes mixed citizens and non-citizens, and single- and two-parent households. (Ho'ola Lahui Hawaii - Lihue, Waimea and Kapaa) Provides medical care; dental care; substance abuse counseling; tobacco cessation; fitness and wellness programs; cancer screening; nutrition counseling; individual, family and couples counseling; case management services; and outreach services.

(The Maui Farm) The Family Strengthening Program is a farm-based residential program providing transitional housing and life skills training for families who are homeless or at risk of homelessness due to domestic violence and economic issues. With a focus on the whole family, the program provides opportunities for daily learning and application of healthy life skills and effective parenting strategies in a safe home environment, and strengthens families to remain intact and healthy. Working in collaboration with partner agencies including Women Helping Women and other homeless services provider agencies, The Maui Farm’s services strengthen the continuum of care for struggling families. We provide a housing and family strengthening component after emergency shelter services have been maximized, and before families move on to long-term affordable housing in the community. The average duration of program participation is six to eighteen months. Shared housing is provided on-site at The Maui Farm, with monthly rental fees determined in compliance with federal HOME Program regulations.

Provides an emergency food pantry for those in need once a month. Annunciation Catholic Church food pantry will be open the weeks of Thanksgiving and Christmas 2025.

(Food Pantry Plus) This program provides emergency food and diaper assistance for the community. Hours of operation are subject to change without notice. Please call to confirm operation hours. Parents are required to bring a picture ID and each child's birth certificate (one time verification). Families are allowed to receive diapers once a month, per child, ages from infant to 3 years old. Please call to confirm operation hours and the availability of diapers.

Provides a comprehensive recreational program in the community. Facilities include a multi-purpose building and a field. There are three program periods throughout the year: Fall, spring and summer. Activities are geared for all ages, including classes in arts and crafts, Hawaiiana, games and sports, music, seasonal activities and crafts, and excursions. A list of activities, registration dates, and program period information is published in the Midweek prior to registration.

(Sultan Early Intervention Program, Easter Seals Sultan Early Intervention Program) Easterseals Hawaii provides individualized early intervention services to children under 3 with or at risk for developmental delays and their families. Services include: Development of an Individualized Family Support Plan (IFSP); Parent coaching and family support; Developmental evaluations; Resources, information, and referral services; Assistance to families in transition planning for their child’s transition into the Department of Education special education, Head Start or preschool. Treatment Focus Areas: Cognitive; Language and Communication; Physical; Development; Social and Emotional; Adaptive/Self Care. Program focuses on building a support team for the family and assisting them in meeting challenges via parent coaching and building a foundation of tools and strategies that parents need to support their child’s growth and participation in their community.

(VASH - Kauai) Visitor Aloha Society of Hawaii (VASH) provides supportive services to meet the immediate and urgent needs of visitors to Hawaii Island who are victimized by crime, have medical emergencies, or suffer other adversities during their stay. Immediate needs may include assistance with canceling credit cards, providing emergency transportation, or garnering resources (soliciting donations) for food and lodging. VASH relies heavily on donations and community support. When needed resources are not readily available, we will make requests and network with other agencies to try and meet needs.

Provides shelter for persons who are homeless and who are willing to abide by house rules (including, but not limited to: no drugs, no alcohol, no violence) for a maximum of six weeks. Stays up to six weeks include mandatory attendance at life skills training. Residence beyond six weeks includes vocational and educational referrals and assistance. Requires clients to be actively engaged in improving their situation with the goal of moving back into the community. Has 40 studio and 32 two-bedroom units with kitchen and bath; separate dormitories for single women and single men; day care center; primary care medical clinic, laundry facilities and common dining hall. Can accommodate 310 persons.

Provides information about immunizations required to attend school. Coordinates programs to reduce vaccine-preventable diseases by increasing immunization levels and promoting immunization. Monitors immunization levels in schools. Oversees enforcement of school immunization and physical examination requirements. Conducts immunization campaigns and other special projects.

(YWCA Preschool) Accredited preschool for 2 years old -5 years old focusing on the development of the child. Standardized curriculum in use in a safe nurturing environment. Children do not have to be potty trained but need to be in pull ups.
