(CLAY, Ulu Pono Kids) Ulu Pono, translated as “To Thrive on a Righteous Path,” is our after-school children’s program. We’re passionate about seeing the kids of Hawaii reach their full potential and create a fun environment where learning, doing homework and growing in character are encouraged.

(Women Infants and Children Nutrition Program) The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC), is a federally funded program which provides Hawaii residents with nourishing supplemental foods, nutrition education, breastfeeding promotion and health and social service referrals. The participants of WIC are either pregnant, breastfeeding, or postpartum women, and infants and children under age five who meet income guidelines and have a medical or nutritional risk. Nutrition and Health Education: WIC will answer your questions about what to eat for a healthy pregnancy and help you plan family meals and snacks. Education and support for moms who breastfeed: WIC has specially trained staff to answer your breastfeeding questions. Ask for more information about our breast pump loan program. Nourishing supplemental foods: Checks to buy healthy foods such as: Milk, Peanut butter, Fruits and vegetables, Canned tuna or salmon, Juice, Whole grain breads, tortillas, Eggs or brown rice, Cheese, Baby foods, Cereal Infant formula, Dry beans or peas, Tofu, and soy milk Health and social service referrals: Help in finding health care and other community services.

(Na Pono No Na 'Ohana) Na Pono No Na 'Ohana provides a comprehensive family education program at Blanche Pope Elementary School including Early Childhood Education, Parent Education, Parent and Children Together Time (PACT), and Adult Education.

(CPS) The Child Welfare Services Section operates a 24-hour child abuse and neglect reporting line. Child Protective Services (CPS) receives all reports of child abuse or neglect, provides case consultation and assessment, and provides crisis intervention on behalf of children in need of immediate protection via police.

(Food Basket Hawaii Island's Food Bank - SNAP Outreach, SNAP Outreach, Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program Outreach, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Outreach) The federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) provides crucial food and nutritional support to qualifying low-income and needy households, and those making the transition from welfare to self-sufficiency. Westside Christian Center Assembly of God provides food once a month and also emergency food.

Visit the website to view a map food pantries and soup kitchens in Maui County. Click on the "Download" button to access a spreadsheet of food pantries (Groceries and Produce) and soup kitchens (Prepared Meals). There is a new spreadsheet every month.

(FSS, Family Strengthening Service) This program helps families provide a safe home for their children, promote positive parenting, and prevent child abuse and neglect. Families receive free, short-term, home visiting services designed to provide support and help maintain and improve individual and family function by improving parenting skills. The program also provides information and linkages to community resources. Assists families that are referred to us by the Child Welfare Services. Strengthening the family's skills to help them provide a nurturing environment and connects them with community resources.

We provide services for the families and children in the first 3 years of life. We work with families to support and strengthen them. We provide child growth and development information and positive parenting education to families. Offering home visitation services to eligible families, screening, emotional support to parents and linkage to other needed community services.

(Hui Ho'omalu) Hui Ho'omalu's General Licensing Branch trains and conducts assessments Statewide for prospective general licensed resource families. General Licensed refers to those families that are willing to foster any unrelated child. Resource homes for older children, teens, and children with special needs are in critical need. (Food Pantry) Aiea Seventh Day Adventist Church provides food boxes for families in need as well as clean used clothing as needed. We provide grooming supplies as well.

(Salvation Army - Lihue Emergency Food) Salvation Army Kauai provides a weekly food pantry on Friday 11:00 am - 12:00 pm.

(Alanon Family Group Oahu, Alateen Oahu) Al-Anon is a worldwide fellowship of those who feel their lives have been deeply affected by someone else’s drinking. The only requirement for membership is that there be a problem of alcoholism in a relative or friend. Members, who come from all walks of life, meet to share their experience, strength and hope in order to solve their common problems. Alateen is a recovery program for teenagers whose lives have been affected by someone else's drinking. New Life Body of Christ provides food for low-income families and persons who are homeless.

Medicab provides a door to door transportation service for people who need assistance or need to be escorted, usually to a doctor or medical facility. Drivers are trained how to communicate and assist elderly and disabled people. The driver does not lift, carry or push anyone. Drivers do sign out customers from the hospital and assist (guide by hand) people in and out of the vehicle COVID-19 patients are asked to sit at the back seat with their masks on. The driver drives with the windows down for full ventilation.

Provides part-time volunteer work with stipend for low income senior citizens to work with special or exceptional needs persons at institutions, schools, day care centers, etc. Duties may involve reading, literacy activities, tutoring. Volunteers receive a stipend.
