• Pain from a dental appliance that needs fitting or trimming.

The participants of WIC are either pregnant, breastfeeding, or postpartum women, and infants and children under age five who meet income guidelines and have a medical or nutritional risk. (SNAP Outreach, Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program Outreach, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Outreach) The federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) provides crucial food and nutritional support to qualifying low-income and needy households, and those making the transition from welfare to self-sufficiency. Hawaii Foodbank Oahu’s SNAP outreach program helps with completing SNAP applications over the phone. In-person assistance is available by appointment only.

(MEO) Provides accessible transportation service for the youth, elderly, disabled, and general public of Maui County. Services include non-emergency medical transport, demand response, and specialized service to also include 'fee-for-service" operations.

(YO) Since 1989, Youth Outreach (YO!) has provided medical and social services to homeless youth. Beyond basic services, YO! offers encouragement and the opportunity to create positive change, which most homeless youth don't find anywhere else. Services are provided free of charge. Community support is vital to help sustain the program. GED training available, as well as employment counseling. Services are provided at the YO! drop-in center and by outreach teams, who travel in Waikiki offering assistance and information to potential YO! clients. YO! is jointly operated by Waikiki Health and Hale Kipa, Inc.

(Community-Based Mentoring Program) Case Managers at Big Brothers Big Sisters Hawaii work with parents, guardians, therapists, counselors, schools, and youth serving organizations to identify and pair under-resourced youth from ages 6 years old and older with one-on-one mentors. Case Managers create an outcome development plan in collaboration with the parent/guardian, child and volunteer. Plans are updated yearly. Youth and their mentors meet 2-3 times per month for a few hours each outing. Outings are selected by the youth. Mentors pick-up their mentees and are responsible for transportation and other costs they incur. Some of the costs are offset by sponsored activities and discounts at partnering companies.

Presentation are given to 4th grade students at their schools concerning endangered species and conservation. Touch-see exhibits of animal bio facts are shared with students.
