(Prince Lot Hula Festival) Moanalua Gardens Foundation (MGF Hawaii) puts on the Prince Lot Hula Festival every year. Our current programs include our annual Prince Lot Hula Festival held the third Saturday and Sunday in July, our Malama Kamananui Environmental STEM Education Program in Kamananui Valley, our Ka Leo O Na Opio Leadership Academy for youth 13 years old - 24 years old, and our Ka Wai Ola STEM, Clean Water focused, Work-based Learning Program.

Ho'oulu 'Aina and Returning to our Roots | Kokua Kalihi Valley Comprehensive Family Services

(Hooulu Aina and Returning to our Roots) Ho'oulu 'Aina (the Kalihi Valley Nature Preserve) strives to be a "welcoming place of refuge for people of all cultures." KKV sees the 'aina (land) as a vital member of the community, and so we are pleased to offer opportunities for community gardening, reforestation, environmental education and the preservation of land-based cultural knowledge. The ROOTS program works to reconnect community members to one another, to their cultures, and to their shared land through the growing, preparing and sharing of food. Preserves the environment of Mauna Loa and Kilauea volcanoes. Provides a refuge for native plants and animals. Facilitates scientific study of volcanism at volcano observatory. Camp grounds include: Namakanipaio and Kulanaokuaiki. Offers lava viewing, trails and environmental education programs. (Hoa 'Aina O Makaha) Hoa Aina O Makaha provides programs based on Hawaiian cultural values and traditions. The focus is on strengthening family sustainability through activities that encourages family participation. Hoa Aina O Makaha is a resource to the schools by providing interactive hands-on activities that broadens understanding of subject matter and enhances classroom lesson plans; activities include gardening projects and animal care. Small scale agricultural farming produces herbs and other produce.

808 Cleanups mission is to achieve complete ecosystem restoration in Hawaii. Halawa Xeriscape Garden | Honolulu Board Of Water Supply Xeriscape Garden

Maintains a botanical garden with varieties of plants that conserve water. Tour also includes information on water-saving irrigation systems, mulches, and other xeriscape ideas. Group tours are available by appointment only. Honolulu Board of Water Supply and Friends of Halawa Xeriscape Garden offer educational workshops that feature xeriscape plants and gardening techniques that will help to conserve water outdoors.
