Malama Maui Nui | Malama Maui Nui

Through public-private partnerships, Malama Maui Nui stretches government dollars further by gaining the in-kind support of local businesses and volunteers to malama aina in Maui Nui. Projects include marine debris cleanups, coral reef outreach & education, invasive plant control, native outplanting, illegal dumpsite clearing, litter pickups, graffiti cleanup, recycling, community paint exchange, and environmental education. Ongoing volunteer opportunities are available in Kihei at our Laie Wetland Restoration Project, in Kahului at Kanaha Beach Park, and at various community.

Hawaii Volcanoes National Park | Hawaii Volcanoes National Park

Preserves the environment of Mauna Loa and Kilauea volcanoes. Provides a refuge for native plants and animals. Facilitates scientific study of volcanism at volcano observatory. Camp grounds include: Namakanipaio and Kulanaokuaiki. Offers lava viewing, trails and environmental education programs. Recruits volunteers for leading hikes, Kilauea Visitor Center, assisting with native plant re-forestation and other opportunities, call to volunteer. Visit website to submit an email.

808 Cleanups mission is to achieve complete ecosystem restoration in Hawaii. Our approach involves community engagement, education, and the removal of invasive species to allow native plants and cultural sites to flourish. We offer educational programs that raise awareness about environmental issues and sustainable practices and organize and lead community events that foster a collective spirit of stewardship and conservation.
