(TANF, TAONF) The federal Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) Program provides temporary cash assistance to eligible families. The monthly cash assistance given to families may be used to pay for food, clothing, housing and utility expenses, and other daily needs. Eligible families include at least one specified relative adult and a minor dependent child who resides in the same home. In addition, family members must be US citizens. The State of Hawaii Temporary Assistance for Other Needy Families (TAONF) Program provides the same benefits and services to Hawaii’s vulnerable families with children as the TANF program. The TAONF program eligibility includes mixed citizens and non-citizens, and single- and two-parent households. (PATCH POD Program) The Preschool Open Doors (POD) program provides families with low and moderate incomes subsidies to send their children to preschool for up to two years prior to entering kindergarten.

(Ka 'Ohu Hou O Manoa Transitional Housing) Transitional housing program (up to 9 months residency) for homeless women (in stable recovery from drug and/or alcohol addiction) and their children. Individual families live in a peaceful, clean and sober, supportive environment in a large, furnished bedroom with a full size bed, bunk bed, dresser, desk and closet.

(Ko'olauloa Health Center) Provides health screening such as blood pressure screening, blood tests, breast examinations, chest x-rays, drug/alcohol testing, hepatitis testing, pregnancy testing, psychological testing, sexually transmitted disease screening, etc. Other services include flu shots, information and referral, immunizations, well baby care, dental care, health education and more. (Kapolei Early Intervention Program, Easter Seals Kapolei Early Intervention Program) Easterseals Hawaii provides individualized early intervention services to children under 3 with or at risk for developmental delays and their families. Services include: Development of an Individualized Family Support Plan (IFSP); Parent coaching and family support; Developmental evaluations; Resources, information, and referral services; Assistance to families in transition planning for their child’s transition into the Department of Education special education, Head Start or preschool. (Women Infants and Children Nutrition Program) The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC), is a federally funded program which provides Hawaii residents with nourishing supplemental foods, nutrition education, breastfeeding promotion and health and social service referrals. The participants of WIC are either pregnant, breastfeeding, or postpartum women, and infants and children under age five who meet income guidelines and have a medical or nutritional risk. Nutrition and Health Education: WIC will answer your questions about what to eat for a healthy pregnancy and help you plan family meals and snacks. (Food Pantry) Parents And Children Together (PACT) provides a food pantry with essential staples for individuals and families at the Family Center in Kuhio Park Terrace. Intake is valid for one year.

Calvary Chapel Pearl Harbor provides a food pantry to those in need.

Immaculate Heart of Mary Church provides food to families and individuals that need food on the 3rd Thursday of the month 9:30 am - 10:30 am. Walk in for help. Call the office during office hours to see if emergency food is available.

Kumu Kahua means "Original stage" or "Platform". Kumu Kahua is a Playwright's Theatre in the State of Hawaii, providing the local community with 35 years of plays written by local playwrights for the community to attend. The 100 seater black box theatre performs five plays during its Season of Shows. Produces theatre oriented towards Hawaii's people, in their multi-ethnic diversity. Acts as a platform for local writers as well as hands-on operation for local actors, directors and theatre technicians. Offers classes in playwriting and acting. Accepts volunteers to assist with fundraising, box office, ushing, threatre technicians and phone duties.

The program provides such services as: -Screening and assessments -Individual and group counseling -Outpatient and aftercare services -Motivational Enhancement -Collaborate with community resources -Transportation to group activities -Childcare for children while mothers are in treatment services The goal of the program is to reduce the severity and disabling effects of alcohol and other drugs on high risk pregnant and parenting women and their children. E Ala Hou provides tailored services to meet the specific and critical needs of pregnant and parenting women. Childcare provided as needed.
