Transitional Apartment Program (TAP) provides housing for victims who need safety and support and are ready to go to school/work. Program participants learn dynamics of domestic violence, develop safety plan, improve self-esteem and learn healthy parenting skills. Children develop safety plans and learn they’re not responsible for domestic violence. Length of stay varies depending on individual needs and up to 24 months at the Transitional Apartments.

(LITFP) The City and County of Honolulu Department of Community Services' Low Income Transit Fare Program (LITFP) provides a discounted transit fare for income qualifying individuals. Applications accepted on a first come, first served basis. The LITFP program runs on the City and County of Honolulu's fiscal year (July 1st-June 30th), so clients will need to reapply ever fiscal year. (Food Pantry) Saint Theresa Catholic Church provides food pantry outreach for those who are low income or in need of food on the 4th Thursday per month 8:30 am - 10:00 am. During the holidays, the pantry will be available only on the 3rd Thursday of November and December 8:30 am - 10:00 am.

(Orchestral Music Education for Youth, HYSA) The Hawaii Youth Symphony advances critical and positive links between music study, academic achievement, and social emotional development with programs that service youth through orchestral music education, performance opportunities, and community engagement. HYS envisions a Hawaii where every young person can experience the timeless value of music, learn to play a musical instrument, or otherwise embrace a lifelong appreciation for musical learning. During the academic year, HYS operates three full-symphonic orchestras and four string orchestras, instructing students who range in ability from absolute beginners to very experienced. Education and performance are key elements of the HYS curriculum. During the summer months, HYS conducts two outreach programs: Summer Strings geared toward elementary school children; and the Pacific Music Institute (PMI), a music immersion program for middle and high school students from all islands of Hawaii, the mainland and the Asia/Pacific region. (Domestic Violence Advocacy) Families who are enrolled in Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) or Temporary Assistance to Other Needy Families (more commonly known as “welfare”), are required to be engaged in activities that will ultimately lead them to self-sufficiency. Program recipients for whom issues of safety and domestic violence are interfering with their progress can call upon Domestic Violence Advocacy to help them find support to change their situations. Services include: assessment, service planning, counseling services, case management and linkage and referral. Provides a range of supportive services to help individuals involved in domestic abuse situations to become self sufficient. Services include assessment, safety plan, individual service plan, case management, domestic violence information, counseling and referrals.

Services focus on health promotion, health education, health care services and research. We provide disease prevention and control services, health screening, health advocacy, outreach, traditional healing, fitness and nutrition programs, tobacco cessation, health insurance application assistance, cancer navigation, primary medical care, and dental care.

(RYSE) RYSE offers a 24 hour access center for homeless youth ages 14-24 to have a safe place to sleep, assistance with resources for education and employment opportunities, street outreach, basic need services such as a hot shower, clothing, and a hot meal.

The federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) provides crucial food and nutritional support to qualifying low-income and needy households, and those making the transition from welfare to self-sufficiency. The SNAP processing center provides public assistance, food stamps (SNAP) and financial assistance, to eligible individuals and families. They handle new applications and ongoing assistance.
