(Family Peace Center - Oahu, FPC) Oahu Family Peace Center teaches non-violent problem-solving skills for families struggling with adult aggression and behavioral dysfunction. The program emphasizes partnership, equality, and respect among families. The center provides support for survivors/victims and child witnesses of domestic violence that includes individual and group counseling, case management, parental classes, community referrals, and legal system advocacy. (HI-EMA, SCD, State Civil Defense Division) State of Hawaii Department of Defense's Hawaii Emergency Management Agency (HI-EMA) activates public warning and instructions in emergencies. HI-EMA coordinates with county civil defense agencies integrated plans for all hazards, disaster response and recovery. HI-EMA provides community education on hazard awareness, and disaster preparedness, and conducts professional training programs.

Data on the website remains available as well as the ability to add, edit, and close cases.-- A Home Cleanup Hotline has been opened to support survivors of the Hawaii Wildfires in August 2023. Hawaii Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (VOAD) has activated the Crisis Cleanup hotline for survivors to request help from voluntary organizations for tree and debris cleanup or ash sifting for possessions. All services are free, but service is not guaranteed due to overwhelming need.

Pacific Whale Foundation's mission is to protect our oceans through science and advocacy. Conducts scientific research of ocean, coral reefs and marine mammals. Applies research findings to preserve natural marine habitats and animals. Provides public education, encourages community participation through lectures, school visits, natural history cruises, snorkeling trips and whale watching cruises. Offers internships for interested researchers who apply. Manages Adopt-a-Whale and Adopt-a-Spinner Dolphin program allowing interested citizens to receive information on the movements and developments of a specific whale.
