(Ho'omau Ke Ola - HKO) Hoomau Ke Ola operates a culture-based substance abuse treatment center providing residential, outpatient, and aftercare levels of care along with transitional housing, case management services, individual and group counseling, family education, and vocational education. Using cross-cultural perspectives to the healing of addiction, Hoomau Ke Ola clients participate in outdoor activities that include restoration of Hawaiian agricultural land, service to the community, hula and canoeing.

Early Childhood Services are provided to children three to six years old with delays in which age appropriate milestones are not yet met. These children typically fall outside the scope of the Department of Education & Special Education Services. The needs of each child are met through professional therapeutic services designed for the child to help them thrive in their home, preschool and community. Our goal is to better prepare the child for kindergarten and beyond by using family engagement techniques and strategies.

Provides confidential prenatal support for women and teens. Offers the only on-island obstetrical care to Molokai women. Organizes free childbirth classes. Offers prenatal education, nutritional guidance. Coordinates counseling, social services and postpartum home visits. Assists client in applying for medical insurance. Offers birth control, STD testing (including HIV), STD treatment, pregnancy tests, non childbearing GYN exams and other medical services.

(TANF, TAONF) The federal Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) Program provides temporary cash assistance to eligible families. The monthly cash assistance given to families may be used to pay for food, clothing, housing and utility expenses, and other daily needs. Eligible families include at least one specified relative adult and a minor dependent child who resides in the same home. In addition, family members must be US citizens. The State of Hawaii Temporary Assistance for Other Needy Families (TAONF) Program provides the same benefits and services to Hawaii’s vulnerable families with children as the TANF program. The TAONF program eligibility includes mixed citizens and non-citizens, and single- and two-parent households. Rainbow School Kaneohe has been in operation since 1991. Our school is located on the grounds of Parker United Methodist Church. Rainbow School Kaneohe is able to care for 120 children ranging in age from 2 years to 5 years old. Our program is licensed by the State of Hawaii and also has the distinction of being accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). All staff meet State licensing requirements. We accept DHS – Child Care Connection, Open Door, First-to-Work, Kamehameha Schools’ Keiki Pauahi Scholars Program, and Federal subsidies. All tuition payments are done through the FACTS Tuition Management program. Your child’s Form 14, current TB clearance and DHS 908 Form are required upon acceptance into the school. Parents are also responsible for a non-refundable registration fee of $175 upon acceptance. If there are no availabilities, your child’s application will be placed on the center’s waitlist. Please contact the Center Director directly to set up a visit.

(Easter Seals Kailua Early Intervention Program, Kailua Early Intervention Program) Easterseals Hawaii provides individualized early intervention services to children under 3 with or at risk for developmental delays and their families. Services include: Development of an Individualized Family Support Plan (IFSP); Parent coaching and family support; Developmental evaluations; Resources, information, and referral services; Assistance to families in transition planning for their child’s transition into the Department of Education special education, Head Start or preschool. Treatment Focus Areas: Cognitive; Language and Communication; Physical; Development; Social and Emotional; Adaptive/Self Care. Program focuses on building a support team for the family and assisting them in meeting challenges via parent coaching and building a foundation of tools and strategies that parents need to support their child’s growth and participation in their community.

Provides food pantry on-site to those in need of food. Provides hygiene pantry for the homebound seniors. School supplies program is collaborative effort with Helping Hands Hawaii. (Strong Families Home Visiting Oahu) This program provides comprehensive and culturally appropriate professional and paraprofessional home visitation services to families with children ages birth to 3 years old. Program participants are referred by Child Welfare Services, Voluntary Case Management, or Family Strengthening Services programs. Service interventions reduce child abuse and neglect risks, increase family self-sufficiency, address family stressors, and improve child adjustment and achievement. Provides comprehensive home visitation, child development screening and intervention, as well as psychosocial assessment, and motivational treatment readiness services to Child Welfare Services (CWS) and CWS Diversion clients. The intensity of the program varies over the course of service, starting with weekly home visits, and reducing the frequency as the family and child meet their goals. Services include a a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor and Registered Nurse.

(Family Visitation Center - Kauai) Family Visitation Centers provide a safe, neutral setting for children to visit with their non-custodial parents or transition from one parent to the other. After a divorce or separation, family visitation services may be arranged by agreement of both parents and by court order.
