Healthy Mothers Health Babies Coalition of Hawaii (HMHB) offers "Hawaii Cribs for Kids," a safe sleep education course, for low-income, high-risk pregnant women and their families. This program provides education on the risk factors, how to create a safe sleep environment, and tracks the baby's health throughout its first year of life. Health centers and community partners refer income-eligible parents to HMHB, and each eligible family receives a free Pack n' Play crib after completing the class so their child has a safe place to sleep.

Transitional Family Care for youth 5 - 17 years of age with emotional and/or behavioral disturbances, Hale Kipa's Therapeutic Foster Care Program provides community-based services within a family home setting. The 3-9 month program is often a "step-down" from hospitalization or a residential setting and can be helpful in transitioning youth from a higher level of care to successful integration into the community.

Provides a comprehensive recreational program in the community. Facilities include a multi-purpose building, a gymnasium, a swimming pool, and a field. There are three program periods throughout the year: Fall, spring, and summer. Activities are geared for all ages, including classes in arts and crafts, Hawaiiana, games and sports, music and dance, seasonal activities and crafts, excursions and swimming. A list of activities, registration dates, and program period information is published in the Midweek prior to registration. Also accepts birds that the public drops off for West Nile testing (If dropping off on the weekends, go to the pool office to drop off birds).

(Kapiolani Womens Center) Provides screening and diagnostic mammography. Offers breast and ultrasound, osteoporosis diagnostic testing and more. Provides psychological counseling, Tai Chi classes, and various other fitness classes. Provides counseling regarding women's health and issues including stress and anxiety management, menopausal concerns, depression, coping with major life changes, managing illness and much more.

Provides care coordination to target populations. Participates with communities to problem-solve health issues. Provides education in women and child health, chronic diseases, etc. Facilitates access to health care. Conducts screening tests and source/contact investigations on tuberculosis (TB) cases. Provides health services in public schools, consultation services to private schools, day care and residential care homes.

E Ala Hou is a specialized substance abuse treatment program for pregnant and parenting women. The program provides such services as: -Screening and assessments -Individual and group counseling -Outpatient and aftercare services -Motivational Enhancement -Collaborate with community resources -Transportation to group activities -Childcare for children while mothers are in treatment services The goal of the program is to reduce the severity and disabling effects of alcohol and other drugs on high risk pregnant and parenting women and their children. E Ala Hou provides tailored services to meet the specific and critical needs of pregnant and parenting women. Childcare provided as needed.

(Women Infants and Children Nutrition Program) The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC), is a federally funded program which provides Hawaii residents with nourishing supplemental foods, nutrition education, breastfeeding promotion and health and social service referrals. The participants of WIC are either pregnant, breastfeeding, or postpartum women, and infants and children under age five who meet income guidelines and have a medical or nutritional risk. Nutrition and Health Education: WIC will answer your questions about what to eat for a healthy pregnancy and help you plan family meals and snacks. Education and support for moms who breastfeed: WIC has specially trained staff to answer your breastfeeding questions. Ask for more information about our breast pump loan program. (FTH) Provides food distribution to community and a safe hangout for local kids. Food distribution in central Oahu, both through a drive through food distribution and a walk up pantry. Walk up on Thursday, Friday, Saturday. Public restroom and showers available during the Thursday, Friday, and Saturday food pantry times.

(American Cancer Society Cancer Survivors Network, American Cancer Society I Can Cope Class, American Cancer Society Look Good Feel Better, American Cancer Society Look Good/Feel Better, American Cancer Society Reach to Recovery) Reach To Recovery: Trained volunteers who are breast cancer survivors provide emotional and educational support for women who are facing or have had breast cancer surgery. Cancer Survivors Network: Online community created for survivors and caregivers to connect with others, visit www.cancer.org Gift Items: A limited supply of wigs, hats, turbans, scarves and breast prostheses are available by appointment. These items are received by the local offices by donations from others and through our TLC Catalog. Support Groups: The office is a clearinghouse of information on local self-help and support groups that provide emotional and educational help. Patients and caregivers also are invited to visit the Cancer Survivors' Network at www.cancer.org . Relay For Life: You are invited to attend Relay For Life, our annual event to celebrate survivors, remember loved ones, and give everyone the opportunity to fight back against cancer. (Sultan Early Intervention Program, Easter Seals Sultan Early Intervention Program) Easterseals Hawaii provides individualized early intervention services to children under 3 with or at risk for developmental delays and their families. Services include: Development of an Individualized Family Support Plan (IFSP); Parent coaching and family support; Developmental evaluations; Resources, information, and referral services; Assistance to families in transition planning for their child’s transition into the Department of Education special education, Head Start or preschool. Treatment Focus Areas: Cognitive; Language and Communication; Physical; Development; Social and Emotional; Adaptive/Self Care. Program focuses on building a support team for the family and assisting them in meeting challenges via parent coaching and building a foundation of tools and strategies that parents need to support their child’s growth and participation in their community.

HUGS's Sibiling Support program provides specialized programs for siblings of children with life-threatening, chronic illness. Includes a sibling camp for HUGS members.

(Aloha Diaper Pantry) The Aloha Diaper Bank supports newborns up to 3 years old who are facing poverty or family crises due to job loss or personal circumstances. Working in collaboration with various local agencies that serve low-income, homeless, and families in crisis, we provide essential diapers and wipes. Families are encouraged to register with one of the partner agencies to receive ongoing support and access other valuable services during challenging times. Additionally, the Aloha Diaper Bank offers a one-time emergency assistance package, including 75 diapers and 2 packs of baby wipes, to address immediate needs. If you are an individual in need of diapers, our partner agency Keiki O Ka Aina can help to sign you up to receive diapers and provide you guidance with parenting services and classes. Provides an array of family skill building, child abuse and neglect prevention services within the Kalihi. Both Centers offer information and referral. Both Family Centers focus on parents, school and community involvement to work together to improve academic achievement for children. The Center also offers opportunities to prevent homelessness, promote literacy and English language skills, and build employment skills through volunteer opportunities. (DCP) Raise Awareness and Educate Humanity about Dyslexia by providing Educational Workshops, Dyslexia & Dysgraphia Screenings, Informational support, Specialized Multi-Sensory Tutoring (in person and online) to empower children and adults in becoming independent, fluent learners in reading, writing, spelling, handwriting, and mathematics.

Youth identified as requiring intensive mental health services may be enrolled with the Department of Health (DOH) Family Guidance Center (FGC) located in the school district of their home school. They are assigned an FGC Mental Health Care Coordinator (MHCC) at that time. The youth may, and often will, continue to receive School-Based Behavioral Health (SBBH) services and supports from the Department of Education (DOE) in conjunction with the intensive mental health services.
