The Caregiver Foundation provides support for the caregivers and individuals needing care through practical and emotional support services and educational programs. Provides comprehensive care coordination, financial management, guardianship, conservatorship, trusteeship, community education programs and caregiver support groups.

Provides after school A+ programs at several elementary schools. Has summer fun and intersession programs. Has fitness equipment and classes, swimming lessons.

(Domestic Violence Advocacy) Families who are enrolled in Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) or Temporary Assistance to Other Needy Families (more commonly known as “welfare”), are required to be engaged in activities that will ultimately lead them to self-sufficiency. Program recipients for whom issues of safety and domestic violence are interfering with their progress can call upon Domestic Violence Advocacy to help them find support to change their situations. Services include: assessment, service planning, counseling services, case management and linkage and referral. Provides client advocacy for women referred by Department of Human Services (DHS) in need of case management and support to leave domestic violent relationships. Six month time period given to provide victims the opportunity to gain focus and perspective of their personal goals and career choice.

(Childrens Specialty Care) Provides specialized pediatric services for children and young adults from birth to 21 years of age. Services provided by Specialist Pediatricians via the following clinics: Adolescent, Allergy, Cardiac, Behavioral/Developmental, Ears-Nose-Throat, Immunology, Kawasaki Syndrome, Medically Fragile Children with Special Needs, Neurology, NICU Medical, Lupus/Rheumatology, Surgical, Cleft Lip and Palate, and feeding team.

Operates an independent, non-profit, community-based, non-partisan organization whose primary concern is the prudent use of natural and human resources in Kauai County. Focuses on seven resource areas: forestry, agriculture, community development, infrastructure, parks and recreation, education and cultural awareness.

Project Vision is providing shelter for those affected by the Maui wildfires in August 2023 that do not have shelter. The site will be able to house around 150 people who will be provided a military grade tent for shelter. There is access to showers, medical care and restrooms as well as other services. The shelter will also provide transportation to and from the site. Case managers from the state will also be on hand to work with those shelter residents to develop a recovery plan. Location is off Hana Highway in Pu'unene.

(Hawaii Relief Program) Catholic Charities Hawaii has been contracted to administer the Hawaii Relief Program. Eligible applicants may receive up to four months of financial assistance, including: -Up to 4 months of rent or mortgage (up to $6,000 per month) -One time security deposit (actual housing deposit amount up to the maximum of $6,000) -Up to 4 months of utility assistance ($2,000 per month per utility source) -One time Utility deposit (up to $3,000 per utility source). -One-time automobile down payment -Up to 4 months of automobile payments Utility payments may include electricity, gas, or water expense, or a combination of these utility sources. Water expense may include sewer service fees. Payments are made directly to landlords, mortgage lenders, or utility providers. The Ulupono Family Strengthening Program provides family support, referrals and resources to families on Oahu from birth to 17 years old to promote positive parenting, safe and secure home environment, and healthy child development.

Provides case management for youth in long term foster care, guardianship, transition, post high school education and post adoption. Provides financial assistance for educational and self esteem building activities for children in foster care. Training and toll free Warm Line support and resources for foster, guardianship, kinship and adoptive parents. Hosts a Holiday Party for former foster children and foster families.

Provides educational programs and resource materials in leadership development, volunteer management, public policy education and how to train others. Statewide network of volunteers. Staffed through local Cooperative Extension Services offices.

Provides a comprehensive recreational program in the community. Facilities include a multi-purpose building. There are three program periods throughout the year: Fall, spring and summer. Activities are geared for all ages, including classes in arts and crafts, Hawaiiana, games and sports, music, seasonal activities and crafts, and excursions. Operates a comprehensive residential treatment program for chemically dependent adolescents with length of stay ranging from 28 days to 1 year. Requires family participation in the multi-family group on Sunday afternoon (Oahu families must attend all sessions, while neighbor island families attend a minimum of once per month).

Helping Hands Hawaii's Community Clearinghouse operates a warehouse providing free essential items to persons and families with low-income, people experiencing houselessness, and disaster survivors. Available items may include furniture, basic household goods, hygiene items, food, and clothing. (CPS) The Child Welfare Services Section operates a 24-hour child abuse and neglect reporting line. Child Protective Services (CPS) receives all reports of child abuse or neglect, provides case consultation and assessment, and provides crisis intervention on behalf of children in need of immediate protection via police.
