Kane Connections provides 1:1 and group support for men in the Maui community. While we encourage the participation of fathers or male caregivers (grandpa, uncle etc..) all men are invited to participate in the Kane Connections Program. Kane Connections offers the following services: 1:1 support via in person visits at our office, at your home, or in the community. Hui Kane our Monday night mens group held at Hale Makana. Kamalama, a 12 week parenting class for men and their partner/co-parent based on Hawaiian Values and rooted in the understanding that parents are their children's first teachers.

(Ka 'Ohu Hou O Manoa Transitional Housing) Transitional housing program (up to 9 months residency) for homeless women (in stable recovery from drug and/or alcohol addiction) and their children. Individual families live in a peaceful, clean and sober, supportive environment in a large, furnished bedroom with a full size bed, bunk bed, dresser, desk and closet.

Imua Autism Services works with children up to 6 years old using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). ABA is an evidence-based, therapy that focuses on improving social skills, communication and human behavior and is an effective method to help children with autism and other developmental disabilities learn the skills they need to move forward. Imua Family Services understand that each child learns differently. Our goal is to provide an interactive, fun, play-based learning program. We take a collaborative approach incorporating family members and caregivers to develop a comprehensive plan. We work to personalize educational programs for both the child and parents using interviews, observations and natural environment assessments. Imua Family Services also provides ABA services through our Therapeutic Preschool and Kindergarten Readiness Program.

(Pa'ia Youth and Cultural Center) Paia Youth and Cultural Center provides a balance of social, cultural, educational, vocational, and recreational experiences for the youth of Paia and surrounding communities through the operation of Hale Na Opio, our Youth and Cultural Center. School-based programs are during or after-school and conducted in collaboration with school counselors. Programs offer therapeutic peer support groups that follow the Hawaii Department of Education (HDOE) public school calendar. Kids Hurt Too Hawaii (KHTH) is expanding school-based groups upon request from schools. Requirements include a dedicated therapeutic space for conducting groups at the school. KHTH provides the supplies and set-up as well as trains volunteers to assist if allowed with professional staff available at every group. Currently at Paia and Nanakuli. The program is expanding to other schools upon request. Currently helping elementary school aged children.

Provides a comprehensive recreational program in the community. Facilities include a multi-purpose building and a field. There are three program periods throughout the year: Fall, spring and summer. Activities are geared for all ages, including classes in arts and crafts, Hawaiiana, games and sports, music, seasonal activities and crafts, and excursions. A list of activities, registration dates, and program period information is published in the Midweek prior to registration.

(Malama Aina Foundation) This program provides students and their facilitators from Native Hawaiian communities with hands-on learning activities combined with the experience of Hawaiian cultural values and practices, to achieve academic success in math and science. Activities include: 1. In-school science and math support for middle school students and teachers through curriculum training and supplement, tutoring, teaching, and mentoring; 2. After school hands-on STEM and Hawaiian cultural experiences, increasing student knowledge of STEM content as aligned to the common core math and next generation science standards; and 3. During intersession and summer breaks, expose students to STEM by integrating math and science with Hawaiian cultural practices.

Kahuku was the site of the first Rainbow School and has been operating continuously since 1972. We serve approximately 65 children ranging in age from 2 years to 5 years old. Our program is licensed by the State of Hawaii and all staff meet state licensing requirements. We accept DHS – Child Care Connection, Open Door, First-to-Work, Kamehameha Schools’ Keiki Pauahi Scholars Program, and Federal subsidies. All tuition payments are done through the FACTS Tuition Management program. Your child’s Form 14, current TB clearance and DHS 908 Form are required upon acceptance into the school. Parents are also responsible for a non-refundable registration fee of $175 upon acceptance. If there are no availabilities, your child’s application will be placed on the center’s waitlist. Paepae o Heeia cares for, manages, and maintains the 800 year old, 88 acre Heeia Fishpond. Programs include educational programming, 1 hour tours, fishpond restoration, aquaculture activities and volunteer opportunities.
