The Floor Covering Industry Foundation provides financial assistance to individuals who: have worked in the floor covering industry for 5 or more years, have had a life-altering medical event, and in financial crisis.

(Aloha Diaper Pantry) The Aloha Diaper Bank supports newborns up to 3 years old who are facing poverty or family crises due to job loss or personal circumstances. Working in collaboration with various local agencies that serve low-income, homeless, and families in crisis, we provide essential diapers and wipes. Families are encouraged to register with one of the partner agencies to receive ongoing support and access other valuable services during challenging times. Additionally, the Aloha Diaper Bank offers a one-time emergency assistance package, including 75 diapers and 2 packs of baby wipes, to address immediate needs. The Aloha Diaper Bank Maui Pantry and the Aloha Diaper Bank Kauai Pantry works with partner agencies to distribute diapers to families in need. The federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) provides crucial food and nutritional support to qualifying low-income and needy households, and those making the transition from welfare to self-sufficiency. The SNAP processing center provides public assistance, food stamps (SNAP) and financial assistance, to eligible individuals and families. They handle new applications and ongoing assistance. A paper copy of the application can be downloaded, printed, signed and submitted via US postal mail or dropped off in the drop box. Pacific Whale Foundation's mission is to protect our oceans through science and advocacy. Conducts scientific research of ocean, coral reefs and marine mammals. Applies research findings to preserve natural marine habitats and animals. Provides public education, encourages community participation through lectures, school visits, natural history cruises, snorkeling trips and whale watching cruises. Offers internships for interested researchers who apply. Manages Adopt-a-Whale and Adopt-a-Spinner Dolphin program allowing interested citizens to receive information on the movements and developments of a specific whale. (TANF, TAONF) The federal Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) Program provides temporary cash assistance to eligible families. The monthly cash assistance given to families may be used to pay for food, clothing, housing and utility expenses, and other daily needs. Eligible families include at least one specified relative adult and a minor dependent child who resides in the same home. In addition, family members must be US citizens. The State of Hawaii Temporary Assistance for Other Needy Families (TAONF) Program provides the same benefits and services to Hawaii’s vulnerable families with children as the TANF program. The TAONF program eligibility includes mixed citizens and non-citizens, and single- and two-parent households. Provides a comprehensive recreational program in the community. Facilities include a multi-purpose building, basketball, volleyball, tennis courts, and fields. There are three program periods throughout the year: Fall, spring and summer. Activities are geared for all ages, including classes in arts and crafts, Hawaiiana, games and sports, music, and seasonal activities. (Immigration Office - County of Hawaii) Provides immigration information and assistance on immigration related issues and concerns to the constituents of Hawai‘i County, (including citizenship, permanent residency and family based petition), disseminates immigration forms, acts as a resource office, and serves as a liaison to the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS formerly INS).

Provides recreational international folk dancing including regional dances of Bulgaria, Greece, Turkey, Israel, Yugoslavia, and many more. No partners required.

Developing Options to Violence (DOV) offers a full spectrum of services to women, men, adolescents, and children in the intervention and prevention of domestic violence. Professional counselors on call to help youth who are in psychiatric crisis or to supplement the efforts of their caregivers. Counselors can refer clients to specialized, short-term, out-of-home placement when needed. The following services are available to families experience domestic violence: Adult Programs

• Domestic violence interventions services for individuals who use physical, emotional, psychological and/ or sexual abuse in intimate relationships.
• Support groups for individuals who are experience emotional, psychological and/or sexual abuse in intimate relationships.
• Violence Control groups for individuals who have use violence towards other family members (parents, siblings)

Adolescent Program: To assist adolescents in understanding their behavior and how to make appropriate changes. Children's Group: To help children who have witnessed domestic violence understand it and deal with their feelings about it. Parents are required to participate in support group while children receive services.
