The Compassionate Friends (TCF) is a peer group support organization offering friendship and understanding to bereaved parents, grandparents and siblings. Its mission is to assist families toward a positive resolution of grief following the death of a child of any age from any cause. Lanankila Pacific Meals on Wheels SNAP Outreach helps with: -Application assistance - help completing SNAP applications -Benefit applications and renewals - help completing renewals for the SNAP program -Benefit navigation - help with questions on what happened with SNAP applications and renewals SNAP benefits can be used for Lanakila Meals on Wheels - Home Delivery's meal service and fresh produce delivery (The Green Bag).

(Emergency and Transitional Housing Programs) HOPE emergency shelter programs provide shelter for families and individuals that are homeless or at imminent risk of becoming homeless. Services include intake/assessment, case management, referrals/linkages to community resources, access to bed space, storage, meals, laundry, food pantry and clothing bank. On-site life skills classes also provided. Referrals by County's Coordinated Entry System (CES) only.

Mission: To restore meaningful, healthy lives for individuals and families coping with substance abuse. CARF accredited programs provide outpatient medication assisted and drug free treatment: methadone maintenance, suboxone (buprenorphine) and detox program, outreach, and interim services for persons addicted to opiates, pain killers, and illicit opiates in on Oahu and Hilo on Hawaii Island. In Puna on Hawaii Island, Native Hawaiian culturally based intensive outpatient and outpatient program provided. Cornerstone, located in Honolulu, provides outpatient, intensive outpatient and continuing care services. Trauma-Informed-Care environment.

Provides a place and opportunity for religious expression by those who choose the Salvation Army. Provides character building programs for all ages: Guards and Sunbeams, Adventure Corps (Youth), Home League (Women), Men's Fellowship. Provides assistance to those who are in need of food and clothing. Provides hospital, care home, and shut-in visitation to the institutionalized.

Drop-in services include tutoring, free wi-fi, community closet, access to a library, a foosball table, PS5, Free boba tea and snacks, youth entrepreneurship initiatives, Healing Hooponopono sessions, independent life skills training, college prep support, and events.

Kalihi-Palama Health Center offers free family planning educational presentations to all ages and settings within the Oahu community upon request. Family Planning presentations cover various topics including: Sexually Transmitted Infections and Birth Control. As part of this program we offer: Free comprehensive family planning education presentations to all ages and groups, schools and other organizations and free STD and teen pregnancy prevention (including abstinence ) presentations.

Staff provides care coordination, information and referral, crisis intervention, counseling, advocacy, and networking with others in the community who have the resources and knowledge to assist in meeting the needs of the association's consumers and their families.

Provides case management for youth in long term foster care, guardianship, transition, post high school education and post adoption. Provides financial assistance for educational and self esteem building activities for children in foster care. Training and toll free Warm Line support and resources for foster, guardianship, kinship and adoptive parents. Hosts a Holiday Party for former foster children and foster families.

Provides support to anyone grieving the death of a friend or family member. Holds one-on-one sessions with staff as well as volunteer assistance offered by individuals who have experienced the grief process. Offers a six week bereavement support group which is held three times annually, providing an opportunity for healing as experiences are shared and information offered. Maintains a lending library of books and videos.

Our Wahiawa site opened in 1989. Our facility is located on the grounds of Olive Methodist Church, although we are not associated with any religious denomination. We offer a developmentally appropriate program, serving 49 children ranging in age from 2-5 years. Our toddler class accepts children in various stages of toilet training. Licensed by the State of Hawaii Department of Human Service and nationally accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). All staff meet State licensing requirements. We accept DHS – Child Care Connection, Open Door, First-to-Work, Kamehameha Schools’ Keiki Pauahi Scholars Program, and Federal subsidies. All tuition payments are done through the FACTS Tuition Management program. Your child’s Form 14, current TB clearance and DHS 908 Form are required upon acceptance into the school. Parents are also responsible for a non-refundable registration fee of $175 upon acceptance. If there are no availabilities, your child’s application will be placed on the center’s waitlist. Early childhood education and preschool services. Children do not have to be toilet trained.
