(Emergency Food Pantry) Eleele Baptist Church distributes bags of food to those that are in need on a first come, first served basis. You must call first and leave a clear message with a name and a call back phone number for emergency food. Speak slowly and clearly with little to no background noise when leaving your message and call back phone number. Emergency food pick up time and location will be discussed during the return call.

The federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) provides crucial food and nutritional support to qualifying low-income and needy households, and those making the transition from welfare to self-sufficiency. The SNAP processing center provides public assistance, food stamps (SNAP) and financial assistance, to eligible individuals and families. They handle new applications and ongoing assistance. A paper copy of the application can be downloaded, printed, signed and submitted via US postal mail or dropped off in the drop box. (CSFP) The CSFP works to improve the health of low income elderly persons by supplementing their diets with nutritious USDA foods. Participants must complete an application, be at least 60 years of age, reside on Oahu and have an income at or below 150% of Federal Poverty Income Guidelines. Kumu Kahua is a Playwright's Theatre in the State of Hawaii, providing the local community with 35 years of plays written by local playwrights for the community to attend. (SFHV, Strong Families Home Visits) This program provides comprehensive and culturally appropriate professional and paraprofessional home visitation services to families with children ages birth to 3 years old. Program participants are referred by Child Welfare Services, Voluntary Case Management, or Family Strengthening Services programs. Service interventions reduce child abuse and neglect risks, increase family self-sufficiency, address family stressors, and improve child adjustment and achievement. Domestic Violence Services for Families offers a full spectrum of individual, group and family services to men, women and children to aid in the intervention and prevention of domestic violence in families and to strengthen child resilience and overall wellbeing. Service that are available include: -A Comprehensive Basic Assessment including a Trauma Assessment as needed -Risk Assessment -Crisis Management -Safety Planning -Development of a Comprehensive Service Plan -Individual, group and/or family counseling and support for each referred family member -Supervised visitation/exchanges and/or therapeutic visitation -Support Services and outreach which may include but are not limited to case management, resource linkages, domestic violence advocacy, temporary restraining order support, and in-home visits to educated about parenting and life skills

Outdoor Outreach Program provides boys and girls a vast range of experiences unattainable anywhere else. They advance in knowledge of outdoor skills, they experience an appreciation for nature not available in the classroom or on the streets, and they learn to live and work in teams in a camp setting. The program activity is to provide the boys and girls with the adventure of camp.

(Ohana Connections Program) The core beliefs of the program are: all children entering foster care have the right to know and connect with their family, a right to learn about their family history, a right to maintain their family relationships, and a right to belong to a family, community, and place. Like all children, they deserve to feel stable, secure, and loved. The ‘Ohana Connections Program, working in conjunction with the ‘Ohana Finding Program, finds and engages the foster youth’s family members and other kinship family, and then helps nurture and support those renewed family connections. The time it takes for `Ohana Connections to be completed varies in length for each family, but all efforts work toward the goal of the program: to help families reweave their family cloth so every foster child has relationships that can last for a lifetime. HUGS's provides peer support opportunities for enrolled HUGS families through monthly gatherings, including family events, Mom’s Nights, Dad’s Nights, and other activities that foster connection and reduce isolation. Referral, application, and intake assessment are required.
