(Aloha Diaper Pantry) The Aloha Diaper Bank supports newborns up to 3 years old who are facing poverty or family crises due to job loss or personal circumstances. Working in collaboration with various local agencies that serve low-income, homeless, and families in crisis, we provide essential diapers and wipes. Families are encouraged to register with one of the partner agencies to receive ongoing support and access other valuable services during challenging times. Additionally, the Aloha Diaper Bank offers a one-time emergency assistance package, including 75 diapers and 2 packs of baby wipes, to address immediate needs. The Aloha Diaper Bank Maui Pantry and the Aloha Diaper Bank Kauai Pantry works with partner agencies to distribute diapers to families in need. (Ohana Connections Program) The core beliefs of the program are: all children entering foster care have the right to know and connect with their family, a right to learn about their family history, a right to maintain their family relationships, and a right to belong to a family, community, and place. Like all children, they deserve to feel stable, secure, and loved. The ‘Ohana Connections Program, working in conjunction with the ‘Ohana Finding Program, finds and engages the foster youth’s family members and other kinship family, and then helps nurture and support those renewed family connections. The time it takes for `Ohana Connections to be completed varies in length for each family, but all efforts work toward the goal of the program: to help families reweave their family cloth so every foster child has relationships that can last for a lifetime. (Ho'olanani) Provides overnight shelter includes shower, meal, bed, clothing, referral to social services.

Provides care coordination and contracts out to Department of Health awarded private providers, community-based, child-focused and family-centered comprehensive behavioral health care. Serves children, adolescents and their families who may suffer from a variety of emotional, behavioral or social adjustment problems. Provides evaluation, treatment planning, direct treatment and case management through contract providers. Provides consultation to Department of Education personnel and private agencies.

(HCAP STEM) The Ha Initiative: Creative STEM After-School Program is a free Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) after-school program for youth in grades 2-8. The program provides year-round tutoring, mentorship, and fun STEM activities in a safe after-school setting at five STEM Exploration Center locations on Oʻahu.

Early Intervention Services are for children from birth to age three who have developmental concerns and focuses on improving the physical, cognitive, communicative, adaptive, social and emotional development of the child. As parents are the child’s first teachers, services are provided through one primary early intervention professional using parent coaching strategies. In addition, the program helps families by providing information, demonstrations and support to caregivers that helps them better understand their children’s developmental needs and how to meet them. Care coordination is available to help families utilize resources at home and in the community. Support Plans are developed in partnership with the family and service team that build on strengths and priorities of the family. Protects and advocates for the human, civil, and legal rights of people with disabilities. Services include information and referral, technical assistance, advocacy and legal representation. Priority issues include: Free and appropriate public education, abuse and neglect; accessibility; employment; services; housing. During COVID19 pandemic, Intake is available via calls and online applications only until further notice. Intake hours remain the same.

Provides a comprehensive recreational program in the community. Facilities include a multi-purpose building and a field. There are three program periods throughout the year: Fall, spring and summer. Activities are geared for all ages, including classes in arts and crafts, Hawaiiana, games and sports, music, seasonal activities and crafts, and excursions. A list of activities, registration dates, and program period information is published in the Midweek prior to registration.

(TANF, TAONF) The federal Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) Program provides temporary cash assistance to eligible families. The monthly cash assistance given to families may be used to pay for food, clothing, housing and utility expenses, and other daily needs. Eligible families include at least one specified relative adult and a minor dependent child who resides in the same home. In addition, family members must be US citizens. The State of Hawaii Temporary Assistance for Other Needy Families (TAONF) Program provides the same benefits and services to Hawaii’s vulnerable families with children as the TANF program. The TAONF program eligibility includes mixed citizens and non-citizens, and single- and two-parent households.
